Rous explores narratives of identity, territory, and memory through design, animation, and documentary filmmaking. Her work is deeply influenced by her Wanka Indigenous heritage, musical roots, and her commitment to education and the common good.
She works with stop motion and mixed media techniques, focusing on culturally and environmentally engaged visual storytelling. She is the founder of Gatastrofe, a nomadic studio that collaborates on visual and educational projects with organizations, collectives, and communities.
She studied character animation at Gobelins (France), where she was selected for an international scholarship. She has also taken part in labs and residencies such as Bolivia Lab, Mendoza Film Lab, and Docuperú. She is currently co-directing the animated short Yatsi and the Spirit of the River and developing her first documentary feature Kumbiera. Her work has been presented in Peru, Colombia, Switzerland, and the UK.
