The story of Ekeko, a small, stocky, chubby, mustachioed, mischievous, and chain-smoking Andean god who brings fortune and prosperity to Bolivian homes. In pursuit of their dreams, two bachelors find themselves caught up in the “generous gifts” of Ekeko, the god of abundance and prosperity. This adventure will lead them to discover the origin of Ekeko, his misadventures during the conquest and censorship by the church, until he became the most beloved syncretic Andean deity. Ekeko is the central figure of the Alasita festival, which has spread beyond the borders of Bolivia.
